 Studio of Bernard Lens III (1682-1740)- Portrait Miniature of a Gentleman - Early 18th. Century -"Studio of Bernard Lens III" (1682 - 1740)

Painting: Watercolour portrait miniature of a gentleman from the early 18th. Century, probably around 1720. The painting shows him with a full powdered wig and he is wearing a blue coat with gold buttons and trim. He has a crimson cloak over his shoulder, white frilled shirt and a loose tie presenting an unusual "casual" look. Frame: The frame is gilt metal with an attractive edging and small hanger. The domed glass is held in situ by a raised band with a slight saw edge.

Measurements: 3 1/2 inches by 2 3/4 inches
