Georgian Portrait Miniature An English Gentleman c.1810/1820: Chas Smithers the framer was based in 100 Leadenhall Street London in the first quarter of the 1800s. Being in its original frame and untouched

its quite easy to tie its date down. Superbly executed painted onto a thin sheet of ivory as was common in the period. It looks like his top button on his tunic is a ladybird.


Creation Year: c1810-1820

Measurements: 8.5 by 10inch original, ebonised frame. Actual miniature: 2.75 by 3.5inches.
